Extraction
Spiritual or "psychic" intrusions are misplaced or negative energy that
has been intentionally or unintentionally sent. Intrusions can be experienced physically as illness, pain or
physical discomfort or emotionally as anger or fear. If someone is angry,
and it is being directed at us rather than simply being expressed, we
might feel it physically. Sayings like "she stabbed me in the back", "he was spitting nails"
or "they are a pain in the neck" are very descriptive of the circumstances we might
catch an intrusion, although it is not always so apparent. Fortunately, not all
intrusions stick, but if they do they can turn into acute or chronic conditions.
A shamanic practitioner is able to identify intrusions and safely
remove and transmute the misplaced or negative energy with a process called Extraction.
Symptoms of spiritual intrusion include: localized pain or discomfort, illness, fear, anger.
Spirit-Releasement (depossession)
The presence of a spirit attachment is another kind of intrusion,
however it differs in that it is not just energy but it also has
consciousness, like that of a person who has deceased but not
crossed-over. They are know as earthbound spirits, and they can become
attached to or otherwise influence the living, their thoughts and actions
merging with ours. Attachments might also include negative thought
forms, fragments of a living person or past life experience, or other
non-human entities. Spirit-releasement frees the host of these influences
or attachments in a safe and loving way, returning them to their spirit
home. In most cases these are not malevolent entities, simply lost or
in need of healing themselves. It is a great service to assist these
lost souls, and freeing them from one's field can result in any number
of changes. Some of the more dramatic results have included elimination
of long term pain, fear of flying, weight loss, being free of a lifetime
of sexual identity issues, cessation of hearing voices, diminished or elimination
of chronic anger, the loss of cravings, compulsions and addictions.
Symptoms of spirit attachment include: noticeable but
sometimes subtle changes in behavior or personality; unfamiliar
reactions to familiar situations; sudden onset of unusual cravings,
compulsions or addictions; confusion, apathy or procrastination;
physical sensations or symptoms in the absence of an apparent cause;
illness; feeling another presence within or around; feeling unnaturally
drained of energy. If a spirit attachment has been present for a long
time, we may not differentiate the thoughts, emotions and behaviors as
being separate from our own.
